LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience (LLX) is a collaborative and informal professional development experience designed to motivate, inspire, and engage in discussions that will shape the future of libraries and communities. Attendees will also be able to build networks through the planned networking activities and celebrate their peers and colleagues at award celebrations.


LibLearnX will be hosted, January 19-22, 2024 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD.

No. You do not need to be an ALA Member to attend. LibLearnX welcomes library professionals from all library types and at all career levels.

Yes. The LLX Digital Experience offers virtual access to a curated selection of featured speakers and education programs. Registration includes On-Demand access to content through March 22, 2024. Full Access registration includes access to the Digital Experience sessions.

Yes. The Headshot Café™ will provide complimentary headshot photos in the LLX Marketplace, Headshot Booth (739), open Saturday - Monday during LLX Marketplace hours.

Complimentary, self-serve coat racks are available for LLX participant use on Level 300, near Registration. This area is not monitored; leave items at your own risk. ALA is not responsible for damaged, lost, or stolen belongings. Items left after the close of LibLearnX will be forwarded to security.

Yes. The First Aid Station will be located at:

The Community of Care Quiet Room is located in the Baltimore Convention Center, Room 345/346.

The Nursing Room will be located in the Baltimore Convention Center, Room 341. Note: This room is open to Baltimore Convention Center building guests and not exclusive to LibLearnX attendees.

Strollers and scooters are permitted in the LLX Marketplace if they are always in use. Wheeled carts, however, are not permitted at any time. If you have a medical condition requiring you to use a cart, a doctor's note must be provided at the onsite Accessibility Booth (Pratt Street Lobby, Level 300).

Yes, there are three ways to receive your Certificate of Attendance.

  1. After LibLearnX concludes, the certificate can be accessed through your dashboard from your registration confirmation.
  2. An email containing your dashboard link will be sent to you after the conference.
  3. New this year, there will be a desk at Registration, where you can scan your badge to create a Certificate of Attendance.
